Insurance
Free medical care is guaranteed in Russia. However, proof of health insurance is necessary in order to receive a Russian visa.
We can arrange for you basic insurance at the price of approximately 1 Euro per day for your stay in Kaliningrad. You can also obtain health insurance provided by any of the companies listed by the Russian embassy/consulate located in your country.
How to get Kaliningrad
The unique geographical position of the Kaliningrad region gives you the opportunity to use various types of transport to get here. Therefore you can plan your trip in the way which suits you best.

Traveling by plane:

You can fly directly to Kaliningrad from many big European cities. Tickets can be booked using one of the International flights booking systems. For example: www.opodo.co.uk If you would like to save money, you can use the services of a “low cost” airline. But you will need to fly to Warsaw or Gdansk (Poland) and then catch a bus, train or taxi to Kaliningrad. The journey from Warsaw to Kaliningrad will take approximately 6 hours and from Gdansk to Kaliningrad will take nearly 4 hours. Tickets can be booked at: www.easyjet.com or www.whichbudget.com

Traveling by bus:

There are a number of international buses connecting Kaliningrad with many EU cities. Tickets can be booked at: www.eurolines.com

Traveling by mini-bus:

One of the most popular services in Kaliningrad is taking a mini-bus “door to door”. They can deliver you and your baggage from the door of your house directly to your accommodation in Kaliningrad. We can help you to arrange this service to and from many European cities. As a rule a mini-bus picks passengers up in the evening and gets them to Kaliningrad after an overnight-drive. Please, inform us in advance if you would like to use this type of transport.

Traveling by car:

The Kaliningrad region is situated in the center of Europe and of course you can travel here in your own car. The distance from Paris and Brussels to Kaliningrad is approximately 1500 kilometers, from Hamburg - 900 km, and from Berlin just 580 kilometers. Fuel in Kaliningrad is almost twice as cheap as in the EU.
Please note: You will need your driving license, car insurance, and a document confirming that you own the car. You will get all the other necessary documents at the frontier: an official custom's paper that you brought your car into Russia for your personal use. You will also have to buy Russian automobile insurance. You can buy it just before the frontier. Insurance for 2-4 weeks will cost approximately € 30-50.

Traveling by train:

It is possible to get to Kaliningrad from Germany and Poland by train. Tickets can be booked at: www.bahn.de

Traveling by ferry:
